I offer developmental, stylistic, copyediting and line editing for prose manuscripts, including articles, essays, novels, short stories and collections, book proposals and query letters.

Coaching Services

I offer individualized coaching services to help writers stay accountable, create routines, address writer’s block, and develop writing goals and strategies to meet those goals. The goal of most writers is to publish their work. My coaching services support writers in every stage of their careers, whether they are just forming their writing habits or are at the querying stage for a completed project.

Experience

I have a Bachelor’s in English, a Master’s in Education and an MFA in fiction from the Bennington Writing Seminars and have experience as a writing instructor and workshop leader. I’ve worked with numerous print and digital publications—as a staff reader for Ploughshares; a fiction editor for Four Way Review; a daily editor for the Southern Review of Books; and prose editor for all digital and print publications of the South Carolina Writers Association. My experience encompasses both developmental editing, as well as line level and copyediting on short stories, essays and longer book-length works. My background as an educator means I approach editing, coaching and critique as a dynamic collaboration and partnership between writer and myself.
